Grumble Jones

In 1863, Grumble Jones, a disagreeable and moody Confederate cavalry commander attacked Fairmont, WV. After destroying the B&O Railroad bridge with explosives, he appropriated horses, cattle and spirits before crossing the river at Pinchgut Hollow to head back to Virginia. This brandy is reminiscent of the local brandies Grumble Jones “liberated.”
